Model, Solution Concept and the Kth-Best Algorithm for Linear Tri-level Programming
نویسندگان
چکیده
Tri-level programming deals with hierarchical optimization problems in which the toplevel decision maker attempts to optimize his or her objective, but subjects it to a set of constraints and the reactions of decision makers at the middle-level and bottom-level. The middle-level’s decision is at the same time influenced by the reactions of the bottom decision maker. To describe and solve this complex issue, this paper first proposes a trilevel programming model and a set of linear tri-level programming (LTLP) solution concepts. It then presents a Kth-best algorithm to solve the linear tri-level programming problems. Finally, a case-based example further illustrates the proposed model, solution concept and algorithm.

An iterative method for tri-level quadratic fractional programming problems using fuzzy goal programming approach
Tri-level optimization problems are optimization problems with three nested hierarchical structures, where in most cases conflicting objectives are set at each level of hierarchy. Such problems are common in management, engineering designs and in decision making situations in general, and are known to be strongly NP-hard. Existing solution methods lack universality in solving these types of pro...
متن کاملPresentation and Solving Non-Linear Quad-Level Programming Problem Utilizing a Heuristic Approach Based on Taylor Theorem
The multi-level programming problems are attractive for many researchers because of their application in several areas such as economic, traffic, finance, management, transportation, information technology, engineering and so on. It has been proven that even the general bi-level programming problem is an NP-hard problem, so the multi-level problems are practical and complicated problems therefo...
متن کاملModified FGP approach and MATLAB program for solving multi-level linear fractional programming problems
In this paper, we present modified fuzzy goal programming (FGP) approach and generalized MATLAB program for solving multi-level linear fractional programming problems (ML-LFPPs) based on with some major modifications in earlier FGP algorithms. In proposed modified FGP approach, solution preferences by the decision makers at each level are not considered and fuzzy goal for the decision vectors i...
متن کاملA fuzzy tri-level decision making algorithm and its application in supply chain
In this paper, we develop a fuzzy tri-level decision making (FTLDM) model to deal with decentralized decision making problems with three levels of decision makers. Based on the λ-cut of fuzzy set, we transform an FTLDM problem into a multiobjective tri-level decision making problem. Based on the linear tri-level Kth-best algorithm, the global optimal solution can be obtained. A case study for t...
متن کاملTOPSIS approach to linear fractional bi-level MODM problem based on fuzzy goal programming
The objective of this paper is to present a technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) algorithm to linear fractional bi-level multi-objective decision-making problem. TOPSIS is used to yield most appropriate alternative from a finite set of alternatives based upon simultaneous shortest distance from positive ideal solution (PIS) and furthest distance from negative ...
